Unfortunately many people are caught off-guard by violent and criminal acts as their occurrence is so far removed from their normal daily routine. Being so unprepared can often lead people to act in a way that puts their personal safety and even actual survival at risk. It is often our own actions or inaction that plays into the hands of the attacker.
Many people suffer from the ‘it won’t happen to me’ mind-set or what is commonly referred to as the ‘Ostrich’ syndrome.

*Physical ‘hands-on’ training is optional. You may decide to include it in your own tailor-made programme. In which case we will cover pragmatic and effective techniques – delivered in a safe and friendly way.
The CSEW – Crime Survey of England and Wales in October 2015 shows us that we are more than 1.5 times more likely to be the victim of violence than have our homes burgled.
And the Department of Transport statistics show us that we are 4 times more likely to be involved in a violent incident than sustain any injury on our roads.
