Why take a course with us?…

Unfortunately many people are caught off-guard by violent and criminal acts as their occurrence is so far removed from their normal daily routine. Being so unprepared can often lead people to act in a way that puts their personal safety and even actual survival at risk. It is often our own actions or inaction that plays into the hands of the attacker.

Ostrich Syndrome

Many people suffer from the ‘it won’t happen to me’ mind-set or what is commonly referred to as the ‘Ostrich’ syndrome.

The medical profession has to deal with this syndrome all the time; patients refuse to acknowledge their behaviour is a problem until the cumulative damage results in a serious and potentially life threatening situation.

The frustrating thing for doctors is that if small and simple measures were taken early on the end result would often be hugely different.

This same principle applies to your Personal Security; don’t wait until there is an emergency to act.

Crime Statistics

The CSEW – Crime Survey of England and Wales in October 2015 shows us that we are more than 1.5 times more likely to be the victim of violence than have our homes burgled.

And the Department of Transport statistics show us that we are 4 times more likely to be involved in a violent incident than sustain any injury on our roads.

Practical Personal Security

In much the same way as we wear seatbelts for vehicle Security and lock the house for basic home security – taking a course with us provides practical and usable ways for staying safe and maintaining a good Personal Security philosophy for the modern world.

We could neglect to wear our seat belt or even lock the house without incident. But the time we crash or the time we are robbed is the time we wish we had taken that simple security measure.
